Terms & Conditions 

These Terms and Conditions (“Agreement”) govern the provision of services by Love and Laugh (“Service Provider”) to the client (“Client”). By booking services and/or paying a deposit, the Client agrees to the following terms:

1. Services

The Service Provider agrees to provide services as outlined in the agreed booking (e.g., wedding officiant services) on the scheduled date and time.

2. Booking & Deposit

  • A non-refundable deposit is required to secure the service date.

  • No date is reserved until the deposit has been received.

  • The remaining balance must be paid by [insert timeline, e.g., 7 days before the event], unless otherwise agreed in writing.

3. Payment Terms

  • Payments may be made via [e-transfer / cash / credit card / other].

  • Late payments may result in cancellation of services and forfeiture of any amounts paid.

4. Cancellation & Refund Policy

  • The deposit is strictly non-refundable under all circumstances.

  • If the Client cancels:

    • Any additional payments beyond the deposit may be refunded at the Service Provider’s discretion, depending on notice and work completed.

  • If the Service Provider cancels due to unforeseen circumstances, a full refund including the deposit will be issued.

5. Rescheduling

  • Rescheduling requests are subject to availability.

  • The deposit may be transferred to a new date if sufficient notice is provided (e.g., minimum 14 days).

  • If the Service Provider is unavailable on the new date, the booking will be treated as a cancellation.

6. Client Responsibilities

The Client agrees to:

  • Provide accurate and complete event details

  • Ensure timely communication and cooperation

  • Ensure all necessary permits, licenses, and permissions are obtained (if applicable)

  • Ensure all participants arrive on time

7. Delays & Additional Fees

  • If the event is delayed due to the Client or third parties, additional fees may apply (e.g., waiting time, extended service time).

  • If the ceremony start time is significantly delayed, the Service Provider reserves the right to leave after a reasonable waiting period.

8. Travel & Location

  • Services are based in British Columbia.

  • Additional travel fees may apply for locations outside the standard service area and will be disclosed in advance.

9. Limitation of Liability

  • The Service Provider will perform services with reasonable care and professionalism.

  • The Service Provider is not liable for:

    • Delays or failure to perform due to events beyond control (e.g., weather, accidents, venue issues)

    • Indirect or consequential losses

10. Force Majeure

The Service Provider is not responsible for failure or delay in performance due to circumstances beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, illness, government restrictions, or emergencies.

11. Governing Law

This Agreement shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the laws of Canada applicable therein.

12. Amendments

These Terms and Conditions may be updated from time to time. The version in effect at the time of booking will apply.

13. Acceptance of Terms

By paying the deposit and/or confirming the booking, the Client acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.
